The cancellation of the Canaccord Genuity Jersey Half Marathon in June 2020 was unfortunate and despite an attempt to hold the event in November, permissions were withdrawn and finally the event was held virtually.

Due to the resurgence of numbers in December in Jersey, restrictions were put in place and permissions to stage larger sporting events were agreed late in the day.

The hope had been that 2021 would see us being able to hold the planned event with no restrictions, however, the ongoing pandemic means that travel restrictions are still in force and Jersey is operating a travel corridor system.

It is advised that if you are planning to travel from off Island that you check with the Jersey Government website, before registering and before you travel. (Travel Corridor map and Link Below to Government website and corridor classification)

At present the 13th June will be able to proceed. However, this situation may change and restrictions / adaptation may be placed on the event.

To ensure the future of the Jersey Half Marathon and ensure its 32 year history continues the decision has been made that refunds are not being offered. Runners who were unable to travel in 2020 or chose not to run in the Virtual event were offered a deferral place to 2021. With the ongoing travel restrictions and the uncertainty around staging this year's event these deferrals will be honoured for 2022 and beyond.

The same will apply for runners entered into the 2021 edition and if they are unable to run due to Covid restrictions or the event is  cancelled they will be able to defer to future races. Please note that refunds will not be offered.

Deferrals will not be automatically transferred, it will be the responsibility of the runner to register with the voucher code that will be issued.
