Jersey Half Marathon

England Athletics Run Event License Number 31611

 Sunday, June 13th,  2027

Experience stunning coastal scenery, quiet country lanes and a welcoming race-day atmosphere at one of the Channel Islands’ most memorable and longest-established running events. The course explores the beautiful lanes and coastline of St. Ouen with a couple of challenging hills thrown in to test your legs and reward you with spectacular sea views.

The route offers a fantastic mix of challenge and enjoyment, combining rolling coastal roads, breathtaking scenery and the incredible atmosphere that makes this event so special. Every climb brings a new view, and every mile showcases the beauty of the island.

First established in 1989, the Jersey Half Marathon is now celebrating its 38th year and continues to attract runners from near and far.

START   8.00am at Les Quennevais Sports Centre Cycle Track, St Brelade

FINISH   at Les Quennevais Sports Centre  Cycle Track, St. Brelade

DURING THE RACE

Runners must follow instructions of  Honorary Police and marshals; they are there to ensure your safety and the Race Organisers will disqualify runners for not following their instructions. Their support allows these events to continue so please give them a smile.

Runners wishing to listen to music and wear earphones etc. do so as their own risk; please take care and ensure you are able to hear safety instructions and other road users. We would recommend that you do not, or use one ear piece, keep the volume down or use an appropriate setting to allow you to hear.

Numbers must be worn on the front of your shirts and must be visible at all times. The numbers have chip timing responders on the rear, do not remove the foam tabs!

Whilst running on the roads and  pavements please be aware of walkers, cyclists and other members of the public, you do not have right of way and please remember to thank them if they give way.

You must run on the left side of the road, except where otherwise directed

Please note that runners will be disqualified for throwing bottles, cups, gel packets outside of the water station areas.

MEDICAL SUPPORT AND YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY

We  try to provide a safe environment for you to race in, however your safety is your personal responsibility. Every year we have serious incidents and normally it is through runners not being hydrated prior to the event and not recognising vital signs of overheating / dehydration etc.

Normandy Rescue will be supplying  paramedic cover during the race.

Please fill in the medical information and contact details on the reverse of your race numbers, this information could save your life in the event of a medical emergency.

Ensure you complete all personal details on registration

KEEPING HYDRATED

Ensure that you are well hydrated before race day, this should start two days ahead. (Clear urine is the standard advice)

Sip water as you wait in the start area.

Take time to drink at each water station - slow down and drink.

If you feel the need to drink between water stops carry your own water bottle and fill at each station.

If you are feeling that your heart rate, temperature and breathing are not as you would normally expect during such a physical challenge you must STOP, cool down and decide whether you should walk, retire or carry on.

FUNDRAISING

Through the Race Nation registration system you will have access to an online sponsorship page. During registration you can donate to our chosen charity (TBC) and you will also receive an invitation email to set up your sponsorship page.

If you wish to raise money for your own charity you will be able to change this on the sponsorship page.

TSHIRTS & RACE PACKS

We  offer Trees Not Tees as an alternative to the customary t - shirt for those who have a drawer full of race t -shirts.

Please note that if you register after 13th  May 2027 the option to choose a t - shirt will not be available - the Trees Not Tees option will be chosen by default.

You must select the required size as  t- shirts are ordered according to the size you requested at registration, so we cannot exchange. The registration defaults to Tree not Tee and so if you do not change this selection you will be unwittingly supporting our sustainability pledge.

You can also purchase additional t - shirts and trees if you want an extra t- shirt or wish to purchase a tree to offset your carbon footprint.

UNABLE TO RUN

If you are unable to run, please contact Race Director and you will be offered a deferral for the following year in return for marshalling duties.

Refunds are not offered.

Cancellation Insurance  is available during registration.

Name changes are not acceptable, if you are unable to run, please inform Race Director.

Thank you very much for your support in entering this event and for those of you that have managed to force friends and family to marshal. Run Jersey Events wishes you a great race and we are confident that records will be set, sweat will be shed and maybe some tears will fall, but above all enjoy the run and smile.
